Blindspotting

Blindspotting is a spinoff from the 2018 movie - the show is a comedy series about a dysfunctional family unit that tackles serious real-life issues, such as the prison system and its effect on families.
The social media campaign had over 150 posts that generated over 100K post engagements, 10MM+ reach and a strong community of fans who engaged with content across platforms making it one of our top social performing campaigns for a new comedy series.
DIGITAL ACTIVATION
To eventize the series premiere we took Blindspotting to Oakland. We a hosted three-hour Blindspotting Instagram Live DJ set with Big Von, the Bay’s #1 DJ, as we made scheduled stops across the Bay before ending the night at a fan premiere screening event with the cast.
Inspired by the “Tacos Sinaloa” truck featured on the show, we fully wrapped a mobile truck providing a photo wall opportunity for fans, influencers and press which resulted in additional earned media, posts about the show itself and ultimately made Blindspotting the #2 most social series premiere weekend.

INFLUENCER WATCH KITS
The 2021 Clio award-winning influencer kit was comprised of a tufted-style box that contained a moving box inside labeled “Ashley + Sean” printed on the side in a custom handwritten text with “Toys & Games” on the bottom. To connect the entire piece together and speak to the integral role that music plays in the series and to Oakland itself, speakers were integrated into the box that automatically played “Thizzle” by Mac Dre when the box was opened. The box was sent to Oakland based celebrities and influencers in our network.

BLINDSPOTTING x PHENOMENAL WOMAN
We partnered with Phenomenal Woman on a custom t-shirt and watch party gift box to promote the series and build excitement by celebrating Oakland and Bay Area culture.
We included a pro-social component by making a donation on behalf of Blindspotting to the Essie Justice Group. Founded in Oakland, the Essie Justice Group is a nonprofit organization of women with incarcerated loved ones who work to end mass incarceration harm to women and communities of color.
